A Friend Told Me...

One of my friends told me that blogging about something "unpolitical" would be nice.
Does this count as unpolitical?:

"I think every decade has an iconic blonde -- like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana -- and right now, I'm that icon." -Paris Hilton

Does Paris Hilton really think she is this decade's iconic blond? That she is comparable to Marilyn Monroe or Princess Di? Frankly, I don't think so. Sure Marilyn and Diana had their rough times and tabloid controversies like Paris Hilton. However, Diana and Marilyn had an effect on the world they left. Diana was a queen of hearts. And a mother. Marilyn Monroe, well, she was in many movies and magazines and was an American icon. Also, Princess Di and Marilyn both died tragic and somewhat mysterious deaths. If anyone in this decade deserves to be it's iconic blond (I think almost no one seems qualified), it should be Anna Nicole Smith. Yes she was in Playboy like Marilyn Monroe, but she was also a mother, and tried to be a good mother.
Paris Hilton is just a plain blond dork. She does and says lot's of stupid things, she's selfish, and annoying.
Now I was complaining about all of this because Paris Hilton thinks she can compare herself to Marilyn Monroe and especially Princess Diana. Princess Diana was quite smart, intelligent, and used her head. Paris Hilton will blindly do anything just to get back the attention of the tabloid media.

Then again, I have to realize that Paris Hilton is a human being, that she may just be wired to be the way she is.

I think I'm being political again.
Sorry but it's hard to not be political.
