I have come to a new more useful conclusion than my last. I mean that whole boredom thing is okay and stuff but what is really useful to know in life is that pretzels are good. Big ones, small crunchy ones, dipped in milk chocolate, dipped in white chocolate, in those take 5 things, and also i have these other candy bar things that have pretzels covered in peanut butter - pretty awesome. I even like straight pretzels now. I used to not like pretzels that weren't the twisted kind; however, that prefrence had nothing to do with taste and everything to do with me wanting to make letters by biting certain parts of the pretzel (a large U is difficult unless you have a big pretzel like at auntie anne's)

This is all i have for you today so...

I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that boredom is the natural state of humans. We might talk as if boredom comes after the activities we are involved in, not the other way around. It seems to me, however, that our natural state is not something we must try to do, meaning that our natural state is something that we don't need to try to be, and doing nothing is bound to cause boredom.

This conclusion does not imply that we should strive to be bored because if we try then it is not natural. My conclusion simply means that you really can find ways to blame God for everything even though he is rarely at fault for the bad things.

It all comes back to i hate school

Space log - 9-20-07, 8:30

As everyone gets into the grove of everyday highschool life, it seems that we become more like robots than ever.

We talk to the same people each and every day - restricted by certain rules and regulations that we do not even bother to understand or pay attention to, but rather, we follow these before mentioned rules as if there is no other way to do things.

We don't strive for change because we are taught that change is bad, but if there is a person somewhere in the world that is happier than us then shouldn't we strive to have that life rather than our own? if the ultimate goal is happiness why not change ourselves.

I think that the only way that school is at all helpful is if everything we learn is 100$ correct. In which case math, history, and electives should be the only things we do. Math is universal and history is straight forward facts. Science, however, always changes the facts. I hate to use such an overused example but we went from a flat planet to a round planet. And languages have never stuck, so why should we believe that English will?

Well it is nice to say my random thoughts to people who aren't there; however, i must leave you now as my brain is already fried.

I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow

Well now, here's the end of it. The summer is practically over this August Friday. Gone are my summer adventures, wasting time doing things on the computer, babysitting some great kids, trying to cook new foods, and me contemplating my summer days. I wish summer could last forever. It won't. I know. With all things considered, I do hope to continue this fun next summer: babysitting, adventuring, playing, cooking, and so much more.

So I hope all of you readers, if there are any, my friends and everyone else who may have come along this blog, I hope you stick around and continue this adventure with me.
In the words of Tennyson in Ulysses and
part of which was spoken by Frasier saying "Goodnight Seattle":
"... Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.
...

"Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now the strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow..

The summer's gone and all the roses falling..

Now as I see the sun setting upon the trees and in front of a yielding sky, I feel the slight wind upon my cheek, blowing across it in such a way as to tell me that the brown and golden leaves fall someday ushering the rain and snow we call winter.

This last week, I said some goodbyes and so-longs to friends and people I know who have helped me and have been there as a supporting presence all these years. One day I hope to catch up with them and to tell them how I am doing, ask them how they are, and to thank them for their supportive influence in my life..

Well now, the summer is almost gone and I can see the petals of my mother's flowers falling. Yet another spring they'll grow again. I'll go off on this new adventure, and I do hope you'll stay bide.

And so I face the final curtain..

It is a normal Pacific Northwest afternoon. The sky has the streaks of sun shining through though the sun itself is barely covering itself in the grey clouds to suppress any complete happiness or sadness in any young child.

As high school comes to a start for me and my forever classmates and colleagues, I wonder if I truly am prepared for this new adventure. And as I look and wonder at the past and the present, and my present circumstances, I feel as though time itself is coming to an end.
It is not. I know this. Yet I will continue this journey, this adventure, as a new era in my life.

From the words of Mary Schmich, I will wear sunscreen.

Now do I listen to the words printed on a parchment pasted onto a block of wood hanging in my bathroom.. It begins, "GO PLACIDLY AMID THE NOISE & HASTE, & REMEMBER WHAT PEACE THERE MAY BE IN SILENCE.." continuing on, "Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. .." And Max Ehrmann ended this poem, "Desiderata" saying to "Be careful. Strive to be happy."

The end is near..

"Well I know that you're in love with him 'cause I saw you dancin' in the gym. You both kicked off your shoes. Man, I dig those rhythm 'n blues.."

And now..

(*sound of blowing through his mouth as if he were tired and through with something*)
As this lovely, enchanting, dull, endearing, animating, and epitomic summer draws to its unfortunate end, I have regrets (yet too few to mention) in addition to satisfaction and contentment. I wonder if I have accordingly spent this summer.

5:43 PM
Alas after much thought, I think I have. I have traveled down Interstate-5 to almost its end and seen most of the grand beauty of California; I have read and pictured the moving events in a county called Maycomb in Alabama, seeing a brother and sister grow, and an innocent black man being served injustice; I have seen great art in Seattle that made me think new and fresh thoughts of the world and of thoughts itself; I learned to make great culinary dishes pleasing to the palate; I have put on a paper helmet, donned a cardboard shield of a red lion emblazoned on to aluminum foil, and with newspaper swords I fought great fiery dragons; so here's to life. (As sung by the fabulous Shirley Horn-) ..as long as I am still in the game, I want to play -for laughs, for life, for love.

I-5 Closures;

In a few hours, (re)construction will begin somewhere in Seattle on Interstate 5 which will definitely create one of the biggest traffic gridlocks in Washington state history.

Wake Me Up When August Ends

Hey I've all of a sudden decided to make the most of my summer. I will not be hanging around this computer not much more. School starts at the end of August... so wake me up when it ends!!!

Summer on Flickr

"The summer wind came blowing in

from across the sea.
It lingered there to touch your hair
and walk with me.
All summer long we sang a song
and then we strolled that golden sand.
Two sweethearts and the summer wind.

Like painted kites, those days and nights,
they went flying by.
The world was new beneath the blue umbrella sky.
Then softer than, a piper man
one day it called to you.
And I lost you, to the summer wind.

The autumn wind
and the winter wind have come and gone.
And still the days, those lonely days
go on and on.
And guess who sighs his lullabies
through nights that never end..
My fickle friend, the summer wind."

Frank Sinatra's "Summer Wind"

I, Done

I was watching "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" this morning; it's something I've been doing during this summer. Anyways, it was the last two episodes of the show and also one of the saddest. I'm serious, it almost made me cry as I saw all of the characters saying goodbye to each other as Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian were selling the house, Hilary and Ashley moving off to New York to do a talk show and go to the school of arts, respectively, Carlton boarding at Princeton, and Will finishing college at ULA. With each goodbye, the character of each person was shown in how they were like during the entire running of the series. Everyone said goodbye to "Will", and Will said goodbye to "Uncle Phil", "Aunt Viv", "Ash", "Hil", "C", "G", and "Nicky".
One more month of the summer is still here for me. As I and my colleagues begin a new era in our lives, I hope that all of you who have ever read my blog will stick around and find out how things turn out.

Computer Troubles

Once again my computer has ceased to properly work as the hard drive has most likely crashed. Everything will be fixed within about a week. At the moment I am using a computer in my local library. (Thanks).
Anyways, it's halfway through the summer and I have about one more month of carefree days until school starts and I'll begin a new adventure in high school. We'll talk about this more later.
Rupert Murdoch has bought the Wall Street Journal and I don't think I feel happy about this. The credibility and journalistic integrity of one of our nation's oldest newspapers is at stake. I'm a bit surprised at the Bancroft family for doing this but I'm sure they've thought it through. I'd read TVNewser for more on this.
So I hope you have a good summer and I hope to be back soon.

Once again for old time's sake

Okay,

"Don't walk, run to Crosswire Motors!"

Muffy sure likes saying Don't walk, run to Crosswire Motors.

Person of the Week

In 1991 at the height of the popular cartoon Blondie, Peter Jennings selected Dean Young, the son of Blondie cartoon creator 'Chic' Young, to be World News Tonight's "Person of the Week". Now more than 15 year later, World News (Tonight) has selected Matt Groening to be their "Person of the Week" in commemoration of the new Simpsons movie. Changing times.

Blogger Promotion Troubles

As I have been blogging for a couple of monthes now, I find it difficult to find my audience.
Google search certain phrases in my blog often do not come up and I see this depressing.
Anyways, I hope that someone will come upon this blog if they search for certain phrases not found anywhere on the Internet, as far as I know. Here's one phrase from the popular PBS Kids show (one of my favorites), Arthur.;

"Don't walk, run to Crosswire Motors!"

This phrase, the promotional slogan of Ed Crosswire, Muffy Crosswire's dad, is a significant display of the salesmanship of the Crosswire business and their (I think it is a-) monopoly of the Elwood City used car sales business. And as the people of Elwood City run to Crosswire Motors, Mr. Crosswire is there to talk them into buying cars ranging from a junker with no tires to a bright red convertible.
A display of the type of people of Elwood City, a regular city we can familiarize with.

To "Mr. Tump"

Well, "Mr. Tump" - Ryan - i would recommend going with the blue polo shirt, not pink, pink can be good for formal dress but it usually gets more attention than you want for all the wrong reasons. Morever, if you have a dark blue polo shirt i think it would go better with the black. I would suggest wearing the blue polo shirt with the matching black pinstriped suit and pants.

I hope that the readers realize that my amazing knowledge, as amazing as it is, does not reach to formal wear. I have answered Ryan's questions as best i could because he took the time to call himself Mr. Tump; however, Ryan most likely knows more about the subject than myself.

a responce

First off i would like to thank the person who posted a comment on my blog. I realize that it was most likely Ryan because no one reads these; however, it was an interesting question. The question asked was - "would black pants blend with a dark navy blue suit and a white shirt with any color tie or would that be 4 colors?". I am not huge on dressing up; however, i think that the navy blue would go with the black well enough to have any color tie. However, if given the choice, i would suggest wearing a navy blue tie to go wit the suit.

I do not know how to respond to a comment, especially when it is anonymous - Ryan - so that is why i am posting the answer. If you know the way to respond in an email to a comment please tell me.

Perfection

I, the genius that i am, have come up with the perfect gift. A burnt POTATO!! It is burnt which means it is black, and black is awesome. It tastes good - assuming you are smart enough to remove the burnt outside. I mean seriously, think people if it is burnt enough to be black then it won't be very tasty but the inside is probably fine). And finally, what makes it a great present is that when the person you are giving the gift to get really, REALLY mad, they will probably throw it at you, and wouldn't a potato hurt less than, say, a vase or a lamp?? Not that anyone would get someone a lamp as a gift unless it was a house warming gift and the person with the new house had a really dark house, but if someone invites you to a house warming they probably wont throw the lamp you just handed them at you. Although, a split personality could have one personality that is madly in love with the gift giver and invited him and the other personality hates the guy because she sees through his gifts and knows that he has been playing the two from the start. But if you are the guy in that situation you don't deserve my advice because you are playing a girl who is in need of therapy and that just isn't right.

If you want to use my infinite knowledge for your own personal gain, just post a comment and i will try to get a response out to you.

I am a big fan of Mr. Cash and enjoy the videos Mr boss man chooses, but me, i crave action and classic action is the best action there is, and if you want to be able to watch a movie with action like they dont make anymore and catch phrases that never get old...

I think Johnny Cash is like John Wayne singing. Both are great entertainers.

Love is burning thing and it makes a fiery ring. Bound by wild desires, I fell into a ring of fire.

For this blog, I have made a new image to be used as the banner title. I like it and I hope you will as well. In my opinion it makes the entire page look cleaner, crisper, more concise, and modern instead of the original dull banner color and font. Now maybe I should do something about the 'Red Polka Dots'...

'Hard Drive Not Found..'

Within the last few days, I have encountered a problem with turning on my computer. When I push the 'on' button, the Gateway logo stays on while I hear the continual sound of intermittent clicks of my hard drive finding itself.
While I recognize my problem, I am not able to completely fix this problem. After messing around with the innards of this Gateway tower, I have been able to fully turn on this system to save all of the important files and do as much work as I can until this gets fixed.
As I saved and backed up my files but more specifically my endeared Favorites and Links, I felt saddened and sober after looking at these memories (files) and storing them away until another day. It was as if this was my last day on the job and I was packing off to leave for my next job.
Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy your summer. I may not be blogging for some time. So until next time..

Strange ain't it?

Why is it i wonder that the natural reaction when holding a peace of plastic to ones mouth is to rip it from your face. Acting dead is the common response to danger in the wild yet us "advanced creatures" feel the need to stay awake and fight danger, no matter how dangerous. It seems to me that, when unable to breathe, the body should shut down, playing dead. This, however, could prove hazardous when having a peace of plastic taped around your mouth. This i have never tried but if the occasion arose by a strange string of events i would have to conclude that the best way to live is to stay completely awake, therefore keeping the ability to remove the tape. However, if given the choice, i would prefer to die sleeping than awake.

Dying is an interesting concept i think, the only thing that we don't have real experts on. We have experts on exploring new worlds, or exploring the world we live in. But the people who think they know everything about what comes next have just as much evidence as the guy that says the exact opposite.

Which brings me to faith. It is a strange concept as well. Everyone assumes theirs is the Superior version of the same story and no one realizes the possibility that they are all wrong and somewhere in all of the wrong ones the real life saving faith was lost. It would not be difficult to loose a faith when there are so many interesting ones to choose from. It could be that the one we were all meant to follow wasn't the most interesting one or the most advertised one so we decided that it doesn't matter, that we can have a more exciting one with golden gates/fiery furnaces.

well nice talking to all the nobody who reads this

What would you like to know?

I am here to tell you about your plans for the summer.

You are going to kindly ask me to go see a movie or hang out at the mall or something. Then you will get there early so i dont have to wait for you to show up 8). Next you will tell me how awesome i am and how much you were looking forward to seeing me because you need to hang out with your favorite sean more often.

Yeah then you will leave me alone for awhile and ask me again a couple weeks later 8).

Ok. i tried to find a story that was both informitive and interesting. However, because such a story does not exsist i plan on continuing with the same old sean for awhile. If you have any questions about what is going on in the world i would be happy to do a little bit of research to keep you reading. Or, if you want the latest on your favorite singer, actor, actress, or some other famous icon, i would be happy to do a quick sagment on that person. I would rather keep away from that, however, because famous people make me angry 8).

This is your favorite Sean saying, what would YOU like to know? and have a wonderful tuesday!

Boredom

A sunny Tuesday morning it has been, but a boring one.
The sun is out and i am restricted from going out into it by the rules that are set by people who don't understand my life style. adults lecture us on their childhood and how it was just like ours; our lives, however, are much different. We have Internet, On Demand, and yes, the wheel. Even with these luxuries, however, we still crave the outdoors. As creatures on this earth we need freedom. Yes this is a very general statement and it could be more specific to my situation - the fact that i am locked in not because of a deep hatred that my family has for me but because of the lack of an extra key.

I have been allowed what my father sees as a privilege, to go beyond the walls of my home but am expected to be coming and going only as convenient to my step mother. And i think we all know why he feels he needs to please her but i will not go into that on a family blog such as this.

Anyway, my plan to leave regardless of what they say is pointless considering i have failed once again to make plans.

You can take from every experience what it has to offer you. And you cannot be defeated if you just keep taking one breath followed by another.

USA Holds Natl Spelling Bee Title; O'Canada Takes 2nd

I am so sorry I have been unable to blog for the last several weeks.
It's been a busy month.
Anyways, as you could see from my title, a Canadian has been unable to become the first one to do so in the Scripps Natl' Spelling Bee. Not a lot to say. Here's a great report from ABCNews.com .

Hope I can blog more soon. Maybe the best thing I can do is just give these headlines.

This Friday before Mother's Day

Good evening on this TGIF Friday. This Sunday is Mother's Day and I haven't forgotten.
Two weeks ago our school was hosting a conference spelling bee. I remember that during the first half of the bee, our school was sweeping the house and was winning the first couple grades. The great feeling that ran through our school was electrifying knowing our school was right at it.
Yeah, we rocked.
World News with Charles Gibson was here in Seattle yesterday and today is their last day here.
Watch to see their Person of the Week.
Now I couldn't really decide over what song to give you, as Mother's Day is on Sunday. Maybe the best song is the original "If I Can Dream" by Elvis Presley as a solo, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Barbra Streisand, maybe even"My Girl" by the Tempations, or perhaps that duet by Nat King Cole and his daughter Natalie, what was it called? "Unforgettable" ? That's right.

You know. I could have put the Temptations' "My Girl" here and the words and everything would have been just right for all the mothers out there but that's okay.
Anyways, good night and have a Happy Mother's Day.

Before I Forget

Just a little less than a month ago was the 95th anniversary of the maiden voyage, iceberg collision, and sinking of the RMS Titanic. I don't recall anyone mentioning anything about it but I might as well now before I forget.
Now I have been thinking about 1997 Titanic movie as well as the 1953 version and the playing of "Nearer my God to Thee", the song believed to have been played by Wallace Hartley and his Titanic band while the ship was almost sunk. Quite powerful indeed, and his famous quote used in the 1997 movie:
"Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you
tonight."
Many lives were lost and their stories of love, anger, hate,
business, richness, and humbleness; all portrayed in books, songs, movies.
So here is that clip from the 1997 movie of the Titanic band playing "Nearer My God to Thee."

One week ago Friday

Sorry I haven't posted for a week. It has been a long yet a short one; a hard one yet an easy one. Normal sunny afternoon -actually evening in Seattle. Friday and I'm bored out of my mind even though I have some work to do which I'm not doing. All my feelings in a few sentences.
Anyways, there are going to be some changes here in my spot and you'll notice them soon enough.
NBC Nightly News and ABC's World News were great and you should watch NN's netcast on MSNBC.com and WN's webcast at ABCNews.com. Nightly News's studio is being redone and according to Brian, they'll be ready by winter. Seems like a long time. I wonder how long it took to makeover ABC's WNT studio with Peter.
Remember Celine Dion and "Elvis"'s duet on American Idol. I liked it and the song, so here.

Have a great weekend.

This TGI Friday in Seattle

Sorry I haven't posted for a week now, although I probably nobody even reads this. Summer feels like it's coming in soon; and you can feel the Sun's ray of warmth agreeing. With people mowing their lawns and tending their gardens, planning July vacations, hearing baseball games on the radio, and seeing kids out playing in the streets and in the woods, you know summer will be on its way soon.
Anyways, it's a regular Friday afternoon here in the Puget Sound/Seattle area. Friday's traffic around the highways has started and is slowing people down as they try to head home. If I were a local news anchor, I'd be able to better show you the local atmosphere with it's clouds, sun, traffic, and people's faces showing their Friday feelings.

Photo from Chas Redmond flickr.com

Usually I get off the bus early but today I was last and I was able to better see the regular Seattle traffic as my friends head on home. And we were listening to Radio Disney and a song that shows the feelings of this local commute atmostphere in Puget Sound and across the nation, came on.
This is how we live in America with our cars commuting on highways and bi-ways; this song tells all.

It's Friday; TGIF. Have a great weekend...

This Week

Sunny Friday afternoon here in Seattle. So much has been happening this week and anniversaries of events that almost coincide with the stories happening. This whole week has been about Virginia Tech's tragedy and the troubled killer, the mailing of a package, the controversy of gun control as well as censorship in media. Now my teen mind is full and almost confused with the problems surrounding this massacre; how a young man could develop his mind into a troubled and sick head, how idiots will try to politicize the grief and sadness of family and friends, and how a world can support the people hurt in the tragedy. Yes this is the world we live in, full of so much grief and joy, tragedy and triumph.
I was thinking of giving "Over the Rainbow" but I decided to give a song I'm sure you know.

Day of Mourning

Last night on ABC's World News, Charlie Gibson introduced a short memorial slideshow of the victims killed by the boy with a troubled mind in Virginia Tech. I thought it was quite moving.
Tonight World News' Persons of the Week are the killed students of Virginia Tech. Today was an official day of mourning in Virginia and people are displaying their suppport by wearing the VT's colors of maroon and orange. This morning on "Good Morning America", Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts were wearing maroon/orange in support; I've been wearing orange today too.
Be sure to read "When the Networks Do the Right Thing" on ABCNews.com .
Today was also the eighth anniversary of Columbine. Ironic but the troubled boy probably wanted it like that.

For Whom the Bell Tolls

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a
part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as
well as if promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine
own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and
therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

Last night ABC aired a special edition of "Primetime" with Diane Sawyer and Chris Cuomo. And the rich and heartfelt notes from the trumpet playing during transitions was courteous to the moment and the feelings across the nation and around the world.

Killer Seung Cho-Hui had a troubled mind. He was one the many killed on April 16 but he himself was a victim of his own doing and I cannot place his name with the names of those killed in this tragedy, which I believe have been revealed and the grieved family and friends notified.

These are

VT On the 'Net Effect

As I've been looking at pages and surfing throughout the Internet, mainly Flickr, YouTube, and other sites, I can see how this Virginia Tech tragedy has affected all of us. Seeing the crystal clear pictures on Flickr of the convocation and memorial events at VT. I saw this photo of what looks like a stereotypical local news reporter at the scene as well as another of Dan Rather on the spot. I remember seeing a photo of a reporter from Asian network TV Asahi just arriving at the scene of new developments yesterday; it looked rather odd seeing the reporter running to the scene and I laughed. I saw another photo of the convocation and a newspaper in the forefront. Yet one more deep photo of photographers and students gathered around the large VT letters and memorial. And finally was a photo of the American, Virginian, and VTech flags at half staff in Blacksburg.
This tragedy affected us all and touched us all, and we have got to respect that.
Not only that, but a phrase we hear now "We're all Hokies now." Now because of this tragedy it has brought the world together in such a way.

Virginia Tech Quote

Now I remember this quote from the convocation by Nikki Giovanni earlier this afternoon at Virginia Tech; a very strong quote.

"We are the Hokies. We will prevail... We are Virginia Tech!"

In Wake of the Virginia Tech Tragedy

Sorry I haven't been able to blog for several days now. So much has been happening in the news and the tragedy and feelings of grief upon all of everyone in America and the world right now.

I'm sure you know what you want to know of the
Virginia Tech massacre so I won't repeat it again.
It was this morning that we learned the killer was Cho Seung-Hui and students were said to say he was known as a "loner."
I just can't understand why this had to happen but all I can do is pray for the family and friends of the dead.

In this tragedy, were stories of courage and comfort. I'm sure you know that
Facebook was used as a means of communication between isolated students.
What I don't like about this tragedy is how people are trying to politicize the shootings and how it could have been prevented by increasing or decreasing the right to carry weapons. Idiots all of them, making darn politics out of sadness.

This week is a week full of history and has so many differences and similarities between then and now:
April 15 1961: the
Bay of Pigs invasion occurred and ended on unsuccessfully on April 19.
April 15 1989: Students held demonstrations in the
Tiananmen Square protests.
April 18 1906: Major
earthquake in San Francisco resulting in a large death toll.
April 19 1993: the
Waco Siege with David Koresh ended after 51 days.
April 20 1999: Two teenagers killed 13 other persons in the
Columbine High School shooting.

Last night I was watching "
World News With Charles Gibson". Charlie usually ends with "I hope you've had a good day..." but last night he ended "I wish I could say it's been a good day; it hasnt..."
Tonight Charlie is reporting from Virginia, be sure to watch him.
You can see excerpts of this on ABC News Now which is presently reairing it intermittently. Click on the link on the front page of
ABC News.

We must think to realize that Cho Seung-Hui was a person with feelings and a heart but made a hurting choice that resulted in this.
We must also remember that those killed in this tragedy are humans and they had families and they deserve the right to rest in peace, without politics.
Here is
a photo slideshow from ABCNews.com of those killed.

It's a sunny yet hard and rough evening here in Seattle but the sorrow and grief from across the nation in Blacksburg, Virginia can be felt everywhere today and in the days to come.

To the families and friends of those killed at Virginia Tech, all I can say is this verse from the Book of Numbers.

Jackie Robinson 42

Today may be Friday and the weekend may be coming up but I have a little bit of work to do. Still, I decided to bring up the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's debut as the first African-American in Major League Baseball. I had no idea about this until I saw "World News with Charles Gibson" featuring Jackie as their "Person of the Week." He truly deserves that and this is that report. If you haven't read the book Jackie Robinson and the Year of the Boar, do so.
Be sure to watch that World News report; it was great and was relevant to the recent Don Imus mess.
Have a good evening and a great weekend...

Monday dressed up as a Friday, Yuri Gagarin's First Spaceflight Anniversary

You know I haven't posted in several days now. Things aren't supposed to be like that; I'm supposed to have colleagues for a reason.
Well today feels like a Monday dressed up as a Friday. If you know how "Monday, Monday" feels and the relief of "TGIF", then you understand why I mean.
Anyways, there's a lot to talk of this evening but I'll boil it down.
Today is the 46th anniversary of the first human space flight accomplished by Yuri Gagarin.

Google made their
logo special for this anniversary. Here are some photos from CNet.com
This week has been a hectic one but gratifying. Besidies, tomorrow is Friday.
Have a good evening..

Sunday Night, Monday Morning

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life...!
Monday's are really busy, tense, and maybe even stressful. These feelings are captured in "Monday, Monday" by The Mamas & The Papas here (great song; made me feel better):

Have a great Monday...

I Almost Forgot; It's Good Friday

Well now I just realized I said TGIF but I didn't leave you guys a song for the weekend. I was thinking of "Yesterday", "When I'm 64" and their many different arrangements and performers, mainly the Beatles.

However, I decided not so. I could give other classic pop songs some other time.

I don't think this song is the full version I know but it's the best I can find on YouTube. So here's Elvis Presley with "How Great Thou Art."

Have a Good Friday and a great Easter Weekend.

Lot's of updates/Seattle afternoon

In the News:
The British sailors taken captive by the Iranians spoke out today and talked about their "confessions" which were actually forced statements. Now the Iranians are saying the words spoken today by the British sailors were dictated. Hmph... What do the Iranians who took the British sailors think? We're not stupid. On the same subject, I think about what I would do if the same thing that happened to the sailors happened to me. Would I outright refuse to lie or would I go along with the captors and do what they say? And somehow, I think of Johnny English and
the exciting scene in Westminster Abbey.

Anyways...
Here are some videos of things being talked about on the 'Net. First is Bill O'Reilly and his very fiery and angry shouting match with his colleague Geraldo Rivera on Bill's show in FOX "News" or "Faux Noise". They were fighting over the causes and faults in the story of a drunken illegal alien that killed a young girl.

Now this next video is of a guy bowling with and spinning a ball spare, if that's what it's called:

Finally are two NBC News reports,
this first one from the Today Show. The last video is a great report from NBC Nightly News about the American Idol "Sanjaya phenomenon."
Speaking of this Sanjaya phenomenon, this is a joke from Jimmy Kimmel on "Jimmy Kimmel Live":

"[Sanjaya Malakar] is still in the running and there seems to be a lot of
outrage about this. Some people are saying it’s because of a website that
encourages people to vote for the worst singer, and I hope not. I don't like
that. This is not a joke. We are voting for American Idol here... I mean, I
know it was funny when we re-elected President Bush, but this is serious."

It's TGIF and a wonderful sunny afternoon in Seattle with the current temp. at 77°F.
Have a great weekend..

Oh goodness

What am I doing up right now? I don't know. In about an hour, it'll be TGIF. Sean can't seem to wait for his spring break and the rest of us are thinking only one more day until the weekend. Here we are waiting for a brief end to work and labor where we can catch or recuperate until a Monday in the near future. There's a song that goes "Monday, Monday..." but there's also TGIF.

So about this series

Maygan said people were getting tired of reading my political blogs so she decided to ramble about something I'm not sure I understand. Anyways...
About that special series I was telling you readers (if there are any) about. It's unofficially but apparantly on a current hiatus; it's on hold 'til some other time.

Awkward commmerical

I was watching "Are you smarter than a 5th Grader?" (I believe I am but those adults?...) and I saw this ad from Tostitos Chips. Awww.. this is awfully awkward but funny:

Later...

mmhmm. a trip away.

So you guys are getting bored of reading Ryan's political and what-not posts? Well that's exactly why I am posting. To get you guys out of boredom and have something more interesting to read about. The title a trip away is taking you somewhere besides politics....

Hmm...guess what happened?! I got a new picture on my myspace. Yup. Amazing. I know. There is also this girl I know. Not going into much detail for many people reading this probably know her and then I would get slapped by N because he would probably consider it mean. And R would be like "ohmygosh you're so mean". So you guys luck out on all the gossip sorry. =/

If anyone has anything they want me to talk about comment. I will be glad for some suggestions.

Test Day 8(

This is Sean Anderson of the Blog Spot Ryan; these are my blogs...

So today was all my tests, which i am certain i failed all of. There is a possibility i didnt study for any of my 5 tests.

And then after my math test at like 3:50 or somethin i started walking home in the sun; i dont recomend it. Today was freakin hot. Also, if you must walk out there, dont wear a black hoodie 8).
Anyway, on the way home i saw a dead bird. At least, i think it was a bird. It was missing a head and there was blood all over the ground; it wasnt very pretty.

CANT WAIT UNTIL SPRING BREAK!!! only one more day of... school

Sean out-

i'm Making A Difference

I just recently found out about this new "initiative" by Windows Live Messenger. It's called "i'm Making A Difference" and its goal is to help several organizations through the support of Live Messenger users. All you have to do is put the code in your display name and you're helping the American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen For the Cure, and other great organizations. I'm doing this and it's just cool. You can learn more here: http://im.live.com/Messenger/IM/Home/
i'm Making A Difference. Are you?

Really Mad

You know, I'm really mad at this "seanlover5678" idiot :@. Therefore to release my anger, here's a song conveying my feelings on the matter. Just play the player on the right. Go ahead and sing along.

Get it?? blogspot ryan = Starship enterprise

This is Captain Sean Anderson of the Blog spot Ryan, and these are my blogs...

Ello readers of Ryan's blog; I welcome to another of my unreasonably boring blogs.

So basically i haven't posted in awhile because i was at my mom's place, and i don't get on very often there. I know you missed me and i am sorry, but i am here now, so it is all OK.

Tomorrow is the big test. Not really but if i don't do well i can't be in honors math next year so yeah, that would kinda suck. and even if i do well i have to do another test and do good on that as well. Also, tomorrow is the science test, history test, English test, and P.E. test. so fun. But, on the bright side, i found my book a couple days ago, which i had lost, so i am back on the road to happiness. Also, i have a break next week... yay me.

Until next time, this is Sean, signing off.

Yesterday's April Fools

Google has been known for making online jokes of new services they are providing in Beta. Yesterday's jokes were about a service called "Google Paper" and another known as "Google TiSP". You think you have T1, T2, or T3? Well here's Google TiSP. Anyways, I thought I'd mention this since this is rather funny. And I provided links to Wikipedia because I'm too tired to talk about this. Wikipedia has more information on these jokes and other hoaxes by Google on April the 1st.

I'll tell more about the special series mentioned yesterday on Wednesday, hopefully.

So I was thinking about the song "Respect" written by Otis Redding and sung by Aretha Franklin so here's a YouTube video of Aretha in "Blues Brothers".

Later...

Rainy This Evening

I put on my Yankees cap and a rain coat and took a short adventure through my rainy backyard. Here are some pictures:

In the second picture, the birdhouse you see there, not the bird feeder; I think some bees or wasps or something that flies around looking for a home and annoying homeowners -lives there.
I was shaking it around and each time I heard some buzzing. Then I stuck a stick in there and a bee came out.

8:27 PM: It was bright enough outside that you could see but now the sun has set and it's dark.
Tomorrow's
weather will be a partly bright (bright) partly bright (bright) "precipitatious" yet sunshiney day.
And just to add to this mood, here's Donny Osmond with "I Can See Clearly Now".

I'm Ryan, 'til tomorrow, have a good night.

Now it's Raining

Well it was nice and sunny earlier today but now the skies are gray, the trees are dark green, and the rain is moderately splattering onto the porch outside the window. It's still a normal, yet boring, was sunny, now it's raining, regular Seattle Sunday.
7:35ish PM PT: I can see clearly now the rain has gone. (seriously) The convergence zone is in weather's in way. Still here are the dark clouds that had me find. It has been a bright, bright sunshine day. has been a bright, bright sunshine day. I think I can make it now the strain is gone. All of the bad feelings have disappeared. Here's the rainbow I've been praying for. It has been a bright -- bright - bright - bright - sunshine day - bright sunshine day. Look all around, there's nothing, but gray skies. Look straight ahead, nothing but blue skies. Anyways...
Look up to the next post.

Boring Sunday

For the first time in a long time, I have been bored on a Sunday. *sigh* Sundays in Seattle. Usually on Sundays I have a lot of work to do, but not today. The sun is shining down on Seattle and the grass and trees are responding by slightly waving around. The sky is mostly cloudy but you can tell there is blue behind it. Then there's the buzzing sound of a lawn mower. I haven't heard that sweet buzzing sound in a long time. Someone is always mowing their lawn whenever I'm bored, as if a lawn mower and my boredome were adherent.

It's also opening day for the Mariners tomorrow.

Anyways, I'm planning on starting something new here. A special series involving an important issue to schoolkids in private and public schools across the nation will begin this week. More later...

It's April 1st

Happy April Fool's Day!

Feeling Sober (as in sad)

Once again, I am quite sorry that we (I) haven't posted in quite a while. (I mean seriously, my colleagues) Anyways, yesterday on the Today Show, the Teletubbies crew made an appearance. I thought it was rather interesting so here's a video.

When you were a small, little kid, did you ever make an imaginary spaceship that took you to the moon? Well I was taking out the trash and when I looked in the recycle bin, I saw my cardboard spaceship my brother and I made together. We made it out of a Gateway computer box and painted green spots here and there and rightly called it "the CowJumper." I think it had something to do with the cow that jumped over the moon and since Gateway boxes were white with black spots, like cows. Farewell dear spaceship. I had fond memories of traveling to the moon and meeting strange and funny creatures there. So that ends an era of space travel to the moon for my brother and I.

Also on a sober note, (I don't know if I should be talking about this). Have you ever been able to know your great-grandmother? I have known my great-grandmother.
You see, I'm from New York and I have a lot of relatives there and in the Philippines. Hmm, haven't told you I'm a New Yorker. Anyways, I've visited her in both places. And now, well... : (
She passed away a week or two ago. May God bless her.

Cant tell everything

so i cant tell names but the seanlover5678 is not ME and it WAS a joke.

so yeah, i guess there are only 5677 sean lovers 8)

oh, and... today is the best (almost better than 6-1-06)
8))))))))
that is a smily face with a bunch of chins

Havent posted lately

As Ryan mentioned i havent posted in awhile and it isnt my fault. actually it is but i didnt know i would be grounded, so yeah. i got 69.8 (.2 off of a C) in history as i said on myspace, and my dad wont let me go below a C.

anywho... some ppl and i decided right before i lost my computer that it was ryan that posted that comment about being my fan and loving me, because nobody else is weird enough for those things to be true (much less say them on the internet). so mr. pedo i am srry i blamed you; however, you are still gross and scary and gay, so i still hate you.

DONT MAKE ME HIT YOU IN MY FACE

Just because this is about math and science does not make me a nerd

Well earlier this evening, I was watching "World News with Charles Gibson" (awesome show!). And I learned something new. We all know that Mount Everest is the highest point on earth relative to sea level. But did you know, that the point on earth that is closest to the heavens is believed to be Mt. Chimborazo in Ecuador. Mount Chimborazo, an inactive volcano, is the reportedly the farthest point from the center of the earth. This is because of the planet Earth's equatorial bulge, a term that explains the bulge at the equator. Earth is an "oblate spheroid." Or an "oblique speroid," which basically means it's fatter around the middle than it's tall. Okay here's a video of that from ABC News.

Since I'm talking about science and math stuff, I might as well tell about something else I've learned that's in that area.

On Wikipedia, there's this article about how .999... non-terminating, is the same as the number 1. Now I always thought .999...non-terminating was just that. The article showed proof, and this one fraction proof went like this:
.333...non-terminating is equal to 1/3. 1/3 multiplied but 3 is equal to
[3 times 1] /[3]. And that equals 1.

I sort of get that but this new idea made me think:

1 divided by 9 is .111...non-terminating, 2 divided by 9 is .222...non-terminating, and so forth. So then 8 divided by 9 is .888...non-terminating, but what is 9 divided by 9? 9 divided by 9 is 1. 9 divided by 9 is 1 (ONE) and not .999...non-terminating!

Now I'm not sure if that idea has been used before; I'm sure it has.

That's it for now.

Later...non-terminating

Not Everyday

If any of you have been reading this blog, you would have noticed that there have been no new posts in the last couple of days. Now the blog's subtitle is "Daily life, musings, and other possibly boring things ...." It is no guarantee that I or my colleagues will post everyday but at least I will try to. As for my colleagues, they can post irregularly.

Anyways, a lot of things have been going through my mind.

Have you ever realized that if you collected all the lint that goes through your dryer for a long period of time, you could sew it all together and make a sweater? I just realized that after cleaning out the dryer's lint compartment and I felt the texture and feeling of the lint.

Later...

Seanlover

ok so i just learned from ryan about the person who commented my post and i have no idea who it is.

if she... or he 8(... is reading this, just tell me who the heck you are.
oh and whoever told ryan not to be political, it is ryan's thing to be political. and if you want non-political crap read maygan's stuff. not mine though because mine are just the ramblings of a disturbed youth or something like that

and my hair is wet so i dont want to talk to you (those two things arent actually related... 8) so good day, I SAID GOOD DAY (unless you are pedo or a secritive person)

A Friend Told Me...

One of my friends told me that blogging about something "unpolitical" would be nice.
Does this count as unpolitical?:

"I think every decade has an iconic blonde -- like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana -- and right now, I'm that icon." -Paris Hilton

Does Paris Hilton really think she is this decade's iconic blond? That she is comparable to Marilyn Monroe or Princess Di? Frankly, I don't think so. Sure Marilyn and Diana had their rough times and tabloid controversies like Paris Hilton. However, Diana and Marilyn had an effect on the world they left. Diana was a queen of hearts. And a mother. Marilyn Monroe, well, she was in many movies and magazines and was an American icon. Also, Princess Di and Marilyn both died tragic and somewhat mysterious deaths. If anyone in this decade deserves to be it's iconic blond (I think almost no one seems qualified), it should be Anna Nicole Smith. Yes she was in Playboy like Marilyn Monroe, but she was also a mother, and tried to be a good mother.
Paris Hilton is just a plain blond dork. She does and says lot's of stupid things, she's selfish, and annoying.
Now I was complaining about all of this because Paris Hilton thinks she can compare herself to Marilyn Monroe and especially Princess Diana. Princess Diana was quite smart, intelligent, and used her head. Paris Hilton will blindly do anything just to get back the attention of the tabloid media.

Then again, I have to realize that Paris Hilton is a human being, that she may just be wired to be the way she is.

I think I'm being political again.
Sorry but it's hard to not be political.

Second Day of Spring

Today, the second full day of spring in Washington, is a normal rainy day in Seattle. The transitioning from winter to spring was as always, unseen.
There are a few stories this morning I read about. Some of you may know that we know who posted that anti-Clinton, pro-Obama attack ad on You Tube. Instead of me telling you, you can read about it
here.
This link is the original "Vote Different" anti-Clinton ad.
Yesterday, Al Gore testified at the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. In the middle of a heated exchange*1 between Gore and Republican Senator James Inhofe, Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer interceded*2 and schooled*3 Senator Inhofe. With a nonchalant attitude, Sen. Boxer said to Sen. Inhofe, "You don't do this anymore. Elections have consequences." Here's a video of
that.

*1:"heated exchange" was a commonly used term in the news media.
*2: so was "interceded," as in Sen. Barbara Boxer interceding between Gore and Sen. Inhofe.
*3: "schooled" is a term some people I know might use.
Anyways.

Later...

yes this is maygan.

Unlike Ryan I am not carefully planning this.
Meaning = I am not weird.

So I will start this post out by telling you who Ryan is. So here is a list of what he is:
&& a nerd
&& a dork
&& smart
&& nice
&& annoying
&& shy
&& a teenager
So if you put these all together you actually get a good combo. =/

Amazing right?.............I thought so...

Yes Ryan. I edited the post to make YOU happy. Jeez. Freak out much?
I think I have done enough rambling now so you should go to my blog now and leave me some comments. If you do I will love you. =)
Well except for those perverts, psycho's, and whatnot out there. Don't worry I just hate them. <33

Sean here

So Ryan asked me to post blogs on his spot and that is what i am doing.

I have a blog seperate called "The Art of Happiness" because I messed up at first but I only have one thing on there and it was kinda a test before Ryan told me how to post on his.

Ok so Mr. Pedophiles, I think I will call you pedo for short. Ok so Pedo and all other viewers (assuming the teen loving freaks aren't the only ones reading) this is the most boring blog will will ever not want to read.

So I have a new computer and it is pretty cool. The only downside is that I have to choose what I want to keep from my old computer (i.e. all those pictures you wish you had Pedo) but really it is cool, lots more games are on it to start. Also the computer is way faster and has better memory and stuff. Better protection from viruses, too. (and even Pedo should use protection).

However, right now I need to start typing my English report thing so I will be going now.
Make fun of you later Pedo

The First Inaugural Post

Okay.
Well. Today is the first full day of spring in Washington and it's also the first full post of this blog.
Welcome to my spot. Here you can read the daily life, musings, and other possibly boring things from a kid, that being yours truly.
My name is Ryan. That is all I'm giving you.
Sorry idiots, pedophiles, abductors, and other idiots. (I'm not actually sorry.) I have carefully considered what I'll tell my audience and I will tell them enough so they can understand and relate to what I am talking about.

Anyways.
So here's to this new blog.
; ) Yours truly
